Globe Amaranth-Red

Function: To regulate the hormones disorders, to relieve stagnancy and purge off heat, to enrich blood and invigorate spleen, to dredge meridians, anti inflammation, to clear spots, especially to cure chloasma or yellow brown spots, melasma and pimples caused by hormones disorders.

 Lily

Function: To moisten lung and arrest cough, to relieve cough due to lung heat and asthenia of the lung. Good for lung cancer and blood splitting.

Limonium Sinuatum

Function: For skin whitening, to clear away liver heat and improve eyesight, to nourish yin and notify kidney, to promote metabolism, to retard cell aging and improve immune system.

Rhodiola Rosea

Function: To promote blood circulation and arrest bleeding, to treat hemoptysis (cough up blood), pneumonia, cough and leucorrhea.

“Yi Kou Zhong” (local specialty in Guangxi Province)

Function: Gastric pain, stomach gas, whooping cough, to dissipate phlegm, to dispel wind, to relieve rheumatic pains, bone ache and numbness of four limbs, consumed during postpartum recuperation (based on folk tales)

Cooking ingredients and methods:

10 pieces of “yi kou zhong”, 5 pieces of red dates, a bowl of water, braised 3 hours with slow fire
